John Post - Photographer
John Post became a photographer in 1974 to share with others the amazing things he had seen and experienced for himself. Whether photographing exotic India (which is his lifetime project), or hovering above Manhattan Beach in a helicopter, John has captured and shared with his audience many unforgettable images. After serving in Vietnam, he went on to receive an Associate of Arts degree in photography and Bachelors degree in Anthropology. He has stocked his "ANTHRO-GRAPHICS" (man and his environments around the world) with striking images of distant lands, familiar beaches, quiet geographic studies and soaring athletes.
Known mainly for his captivating beach schenes, John sold his first "ANTHRO-GRAPHICS" in 1975 and today, thousands of prints later, he has an established reputation in the photographic field. Since 1990 John has been photographinb exclusively in the panorama format which has set his unique style and images apart from other photographers.
John has been published throughout his career. His images have appeared in advertising, corporate offices, and in individual homes of all sizes. His wide selection of posters and large Limitied Edition panorama prints are popular with people everywhere.
Since 1975, John has been providing the South Bay with some of it's most memorable images, showing us and reminding us all of what a special place we live in. To own a "John Post" is to be part of a unique community, and they always make a welcome gift.
